About these demos.

"The coolest feature of iYoga is its smart-timing capability."
Spymac Review

These QuickTime movies show iYoga playing classes with the voice of Vicki, one of several voices available on your Mac. (NOTE: Apple has announced a fantastic new voice for Leopard.)

Demo 1: A 2-minute Quick Demo
This demo contains several short examples of the styles of timing that can be done with iYoga.

Demo 2: A Simple Class
This movie demonstrates a simple sequence containing pose names and duration. Pausing and moving backward and forward through a class are also shown. Similar classes can be created in minutes from a yoga book or magazine with your own choice of poses and timing. Please approach this new experience with an open mind and heart. Some yogis find it unusual to hear a computer speak, but it quickly becomes a comfortable experience. Our thanks to Alanna Kaivalya for permission to use her music (www.jivadiva.com).

Demo 3: Chime Timer
This example demonstrates using iYoga to chime at whatever interval you wish. None of the text is spoken.

"One of my concerns...was that the computer voice would be too mechanical, but it's really not. In fact I find it soothing and enjoyable ."—Amazon customer review

Demo 4: Adding Pictures to iYoga
You can place pictures anywhere in an iYoga document for instruction or inspiration. In this example, the text is from Poetry of the Body by Rodney Yee and Nina Zolotow with a picture added by drag-and-drop from the excellent pose library at yoga.about.com

Demo 5: Mini-tutorial
Here is a brief step-by-step demonstration of creating a class with iYoga starting from a blank document. It shows how to enter text, start and stop speech, pause a class and skip from one asana to the next.

Demo 6: A Poetic Class
This is a short example of using word imagery from the beautiful book Poetry of the Body by Rodney Yee and Nina Zolotow. The music behind the class, Mirror Veil, is available on the CD Slow World by Liquid Mind. With iYoga you can bring any text that inspires you directly into your practice, and listen to your favorite music during class.

Demo 7: A Guiding Class
This 30-minute yoga class includes guidance for each pose. The explanation you hear during class is controlled by the words you enter into iYoga. Instructions on how to perform many poses, from a variety of excellent instructors, can be found on the web and copy-pasted directly into iYoga, bringing their words alive during your practice. Numbering the poses, as in this example, is optional.
